A few things about FLY...
As I mentionned on the main page, the initial release of the album FLY in 1995 did not include the song TIME TO SAY GOODBYE. It was only after that song became such a hit that the album was released again, in 1997, with TIME TO SAY GOODBYE as the first track.
Chris Thompson of the group MANFRED MANN'S EARTH BAND sings with Miss Sarah on HOW CAN HEAVEN LOVE ME. This track is perhaps, after HAREM, the song of Miss Sarah that has been remixed the most often !!! I have 9 remixes of it and they are all great. No, really, they are !!!
A QUESTION OF HONOUR came about when Miss Sarah and her producers were asked to come up with the title song for the WORLD BOXING CHAMPIONSHIP match between Henry Maske and Graciano Rocchigiani in May of 1995. As she mentions in an interview, she felt the fight needed a strong song, something with drama and pop as well, so they come up with A QUESTION OF HONOUR. She performed the song live on television prior to the fight, "flying" over the boxing ring, as she again chose to do for the LA LUNA concert tour.
After the song was done, and seeing how well it turned out, Miss Sarah and her producers decided to include it on the album FLY.
The song YOU TAKE MY BREATH AWAY has background vocals that are in Hindu dialect. The uncredited performer singing those lyrics is Lisa Gerrard from the band DEAD CAN DANCE. They are part of a song called SALDEK from their 1993 album INTO THE LABYRINTH. The song further matched the Arabian feel of the album HAREM so it was included on it for the US version off the cd.
And I think the duet with Tom Jones on SOMETHING IN THE AIR is quite interesting. I think it works, don't you ?
