The album LA LUNA... LA LUNA (2000 Angel Records) is an album we waited for with anticipation, the penguins and I... We were wondering what Miss Sarah would do after the beautiful CD of EDEN... And we were not disapointed... Opening with the french ballad LA LUNA, the album then goes to a great song called WINTER IN JULY, which is another one that became a favorite. The two songs me and the penguins were not too sure about though were SCARBOROUGH FAIR and A WHITER SHADE OF PALE, both of which were not favorites of ours... However, we had found the GREGORIAN MASTERS OF CHANT versions of SCARBOROUGH FAIR (also produced by Frank Peterson) quite pleasant so we couldn't wait to hear how it would sound done by Miss Sarah. Well, low and behold, and thank God, the orchestration is the same, so we loved it !!! As for WHITER SHADE OF PALE, this is a song I got sick off in the 70ies when my sisters would play it again and again and again. I groaned when I saw it on the track listing of LA LUNA but I must admit that done by Miss Sarah, it sounds just great !!! The first time I played it, the pengies kept asking me if the song meant a WHITER SHADE OF PALE as in white chocolate. They were disapointed when I said no. I said a WHITER SHADE OF PALE is what I turn when I get presented with a bill to pay for one of their shenanigans. They did not find me funny... Anyooo, I could go on and on talking about this great album, but to quote the pengies, the proof is in the chocolate pudding, so go give it a listen. And purrrrrr....
